Professional Zone Control Installation & Repair
Alliance Heating and Air Conditioning knows you love your home – and who could blame you, considering this beautiful area. But you just wish that room with the south-facing windows was cooler. And that corner room off the basement would make a great kids’ bedroom if it didn’t feel like a meat locker. Zone control is the one comfort solution for all those problems and more.
Benefits of HVAC Zoning for Comfort & Efficiency
The technology powering zone control may be complicated, but the systems Alliance Heating and Air Conditioning installs are so easy to use. If you can change a thermostat, you can adjust the temperature of rooms throughout your home in the New York or Connecticut suburbs. That’s ideal for a local climate ours, where the weather sometimes seems to change several times a day.
Here’s How Zone Control Keeps Connecticut & NY Homes More Comfortable
Zone control systems are the ideal way to heat and cool homes with higher-than-average square footage, multiple floors, or room layouts that spread out in creative ways. (If it sounds like we’re describing more than half the homes in your beautiful community, we are.) It’s also a great way to avoid wasting money on keeping rooms you rarely use warm or cool.
We’ll listen carefully to your concerns about your home’s comfort and areas that need a boost. Then we’ll work with you to divide your home into zones – some could be single rooms, some might cover a group of rooms, you might even separate your zones by floors. No matter what approach you take, you’ll be making more precise use of your energy dollar, allowing your family to enjoy more comfort while spending less on energy bills.
Why Homeowners in Fairfield County & NY Suburbs Choose Alliance
Turning your zoning goals into an efficient system takes a little bit of engineering. Alliance Heating and Air Conditioning will determine the optimal location for dampers inside your ductwork, then install them. We’ll also place a thermostat in each zone and mount a control panel near your home’s heating and cooling system.
As you set the individual thermostats, the control panel will automatically open and close the dampers to most efficiently distribute the heated or chilled air throughout your home. It also communicates with your heating and cooling equipment to keep it running as efficiently as possible. You can easily adjust from your phone or other device by using the system’s app.
Can I Get Zone Control If Our Home Doesn’t Have Ductwork?
Absolutely, but it involves a different kind of system. What we call ductless mini split systems combine an outdoor heat pump with individual indoor units connected using narrow but durable copper tubing. Liquid refrigerant flows between the indoor and outdoor units to transfer heat or cooling as needed, and fans inside the indoor units distribute the air around the home’s interior.

Heating And Cooling Services
Furnaces
Count on reliable and efficient heating by choosing a new furnace from Alliance Heating and Air. Many of today’s gas furnace models are more than 95% efficient, meaning they turn nearly all the natural gas they use into clean heat for your home.
Ductless Mini-Splits
Ductless mini-split systems are ideal for bringing affordable cooling and heating to rooms and additions that don’t have ductwork, and for enhancing the system in places you need extra year-round comfort.
Heat Pumps
Seeking an efficient way to heat and cool your home? For most homes in our area, a heat pump is the smart choice. They provide reliable, low-cost performance whether the August sun is beating down or a cold breeze is blowing off the Long Island Sound.
Geothermal Heating & Cooling
Geothermal heat pumps both heat and cool a home. Best of all, they do it using what’s essentially free energy: the natural heating you’ll find under your backyard or pond. They’re efficient, quiet, built to last, and they’re much better for the planet we call home.
